David Brooks says, “Simplify the tax code. End corporate taxes and create a consumption tax.” Love how this ‘simplification’ give the rich a free ride – corporations are not owned by working-class people – and puts more burden on consumers, i.e. average people. What’s wrong with the real simplicity of a fair income tax, where the super-rich pay at least as much as the middle class? And corporations, if they pay no taxes, don’t get to be ‘citizens’.
